Can I Tour Ireland With A Wheelchair / Mobility Issues?

To fully enjoy our tours, you must have a minimum level of fitness.

For example, your ability to step up and onto our tour vehicles unaided is crucial. Disembarking independently is also important.

If you cannot enter and exit the tour vehicle unaided, please travel with a companion who can assist you.

Wheelchairs on Tour

A lightweight foldable wheelchair can sometimes be stowed in the luggage compartment but please let us know that you will be travelling with a wheelchair before you book.

Our tours are not suitable for larger wheelchairs or electric mobility scooters.

Our tour vehicles are not wheelchair accessible.

Which Tour Style To Choose

For people with mobility issues, we would recommend the relaxed pace of Driftwood Journeys of Discovery. There are no long hikes or adventure activities on a Driftwood Tour.

Drifter tour vehicles have a lower ground clearance than VagaTrons, which means they're easier to get in and out of.

Let Us Know Before Booking

Our VagaGuide tour guides are highly-trained and experienced. In order to accommodate you, however, you must advise us before booking a tour that you will be using a wheelchair or other mobility aids.

Our friendly team can advise you further as to the suitability of each tour before you book. enquiries@vagabond.ie
