"The tour with Jason far exceeded my expectations. Jason was an amazing VagaGuide. He is professional, witty, and very well informed about all things Ireland. I asked a lot of questions, and if he didn't know — which was rare — he did some research and came back to dinner or breakfast with an answer... The guesthouses and hotels were top-notch. This was my eighth tour with Vagabond. I’ve done four Driftwood, and I’ve done four Vagabond‘s. I just finished up the 7 Day Magnetic North Adventure Tour. Each tour I’ve done it just keeps getting better. Every guide is fantastic, they each have their own perspective on Ireland so you get the insight of a local.
Because Vagabond is a small tour group you go places where those large buses cannot go. There is always something for everyone to do. Being a small group I’ve always had wonderful people on tour with me and have made lasting friends.

We had an amazing vagabond Driftwood 7 day treasure island tour with 14 family members from 4 different US states.
Our tour guide, Roisin, was absolutely awesome in every way. She imparted on us a lot of Irish history and culture at a level that kept even our youngest (children age 10-15) absorbed in the stories.
Our Vagabond van was clean and comfortable. The hotels and castle we stayed in were always lovely, their proprietors accommodating to our needs The beautiful scenery in Ireland is breathtaking to say the least.
I highly recommend this tour for young and old.
I have one brother and four sisters and our ancestry is Irish, so all of us and some spouses decided to go on a tour, so there were 10 family members.
The tour we got with Brian was so much more than we could have ever expected. He was friendly, kind, helpful, positive, knowledgeable and so much more. He went beyond just talking about the sights that we were going to see.

Everything we read about the trip on Vagabond's web site was completely accurate from: description of trip, what to pack, things to do on tour and in Dublin, off the beaten path etc. John was extremely helpful in reserving trip and the entire process was very easy. Rob would stay in touch via email in case you needed something. Our guide was Sarah and she was wonderful. Sarah made the tour special by improvising "the itinerary" based on what people wanted and on the weather. She made great adjustments without sacrificing any of the tour. Sarah gave great background information on various sights and always found a song to play that fit the occasion.

Vagabond Tours does a great job explaining the difference between the 2 types of tours they offer - Driftwood is more low key, less strenuous and physically demanding, while their Vagabond experiences including activities like kayaking, horse riding, hiking etc. A Driftwood tour was the perfect activity level for seniors like my husband and I. Everything with Vagabond Tours was great from the booking experience, to the helpful advance emails explaining what to expect on the tour, to the tour itself. Our guide Damien made the experience wonderful for us - he was knowledgeable, very funny and very attentive to everyone's needs. Damien cleaned the van at the end of each day so we boarded a spotless van each morning.
