No Crowds

Unlike other parts of mainland Europe in summer, you are unlikely to experience too many queues and crowds in Ireland, especially with our tours, as we bring you off the beaten path, showing you the real Ireland!

We have timed our itineraries perfectly to ensure that all of our guests will enjoy exploring ancient sites and incredible cultural experiences without the crowds.

Sunsets at 11pm

Sunset at spanish point beach

Due to our high-up northern hemisphere position, our summer sunsets are long and lingering. During the summer, Ireland glows from her heart on the horizon — some of the most breathtaking scenes around.

We have long days and short nights. The sun rises at 5am and sets at 11pm. Plenty of time for exploring!

Weather

Sandy beach in the sun

We have a pleasant, but not overly hot summer. With an average of 15C (59F) Ireland escapes the heatwaves of mainland Europe.

Perfect weather for journeys over mountain passes, horse-riding along deserted beaches, and exploring the Wild Atlantic Way.

Traffic-free routes

We go off the beaten path as we explore Ireland, avoiding queues and tailbacks. Unearth a side of Ireland you would not experience on an ordinary bus tour.

Although sometimes we do come across the odd traffic warden....

7 Day World Tour
A Personalized travel experience
"We booked our trip with Vagabond for early June 2016 so as to benefit from Ireland's "best" weather. As many of our Irish friends say: 'you don't go to Ireland for the weather, but if you go, June is a good month...' And so it was, that we did manage some very fine irish weather."

11 Day Discover Ireland Tour
Beautiful, amazing, sunny Ireland.
"We had Denise as our guide for our 11 day tour from June 7 to June 17... We had AMAZING weather for most of our 18 day stay in Ireland with only 3 days of rain but that didn't stop the fun! We went horse back riding two times during the rain and the luck of the Irish was with us so many times when it would be raining or overcast, when we would get off the bus, the clouds would part to let the sunshine in for our outdoor activities.

12 Day Giant Irish Adventure Tour
Absolutely the Best!
We took the 12 Giant Irish Adventure Tour from June 10-21,2019. Our guide, was fantastic! Not only did he safely take us around the country, he entertained us with great music and stories about Ireland. He took us to off the beaten path places where we waded in cold water to visit a cave, hiked coastal paths with the locals, and even cooked a bar-b-que lunch on a beach. Booking was very easy as Ciera answered all of our questions promptly and thoroughl
