Travel Update FAQs

As of 1pm on April 10th 2026, media reports of fuel shortages have caused queues to form at some filling stations in Ireland (i.e. gas stations). 

Certain roads near Dublin and Cork have been blocked, in addition. 

The government is engaging with industry representatives today in an effort to resolve the situation. 

Currently, the situation has had very little effect on guests on tour. 

There are several tours happening right now around different parts of Ireland.  

Rest assured, the Operations team at Vagabond has made contingency plans and we are closely monitoring the situation.  

Thankfully, Vagabond & Driftwood tour vehicles do not run solely on conventional fuels. A significant cohort of our tour vehicle fleet use Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO). 

No Vagabond or Driftwood tour departures have been cancelled thus far.  

We are proud of the fact that the only occasion we have ever cancelled a tour departure due to external events was during the onset of the COVID-19 lockdown. 

Irish government leaders are meeting with industry representatives today (Friday April 10th) to resolve the situation. 

The team at Vagabond is actively monitoring events. We will provide updates directly to guests departing in the coming weeks, as well as more general updates on our website and social platforms. 

All of our scheduled tour departures are currently operating as normal, and so your booking terms remain unchanged. 

In the unlikely event that our tours are affected, we can assure you we will address this appropriately at the time.
