Seasonal Irish Apple Crumble Recipe - Simple & Delicious

With a chill in the air and the trees awash with autumn colours. It's the perfect time to tuck into something warm and tasty. Super easy to make and guaranteed to go down a treat. The traditional Irish apple crumble is the ideal Winter warmer dish.

Ingredients

150g / 5 oz plain flour150g / 5 oz oat flakes175g / 6 oz brown sugar200g / 7 oz cold butter, cut into pieces600g / 21oz apples, cut and sliced1 tsp cinnamon60g / 2 oz brown sugarCream, to serve

Utensils

Large baking tin.

Directions

Preheat the oven to 190C (375F). Place the flour, oat flakes, brown sugar and butter in a large bowl. Rub all ingredients together using your fingertips, until it resembles breadcrumbs.

In a large baking tin, mix the apples with the cinnamon, sugar. Add the crumble mix on top of the filling and spread over the top until everything is evenly covered. Bake in the oven for 3540 minutes or until the crumble topping is golden brown. Serve with cream.
