One of the standout highlights for our tour guests are the hikes.
Unlike the relaxed pace of Driftwood Journeys of Discovery, you'll normally hike at least once each day on a Vagabond Cultural Adventure.
All of our walks are flexible. Myself and the rest of the VagaGuides have the power to pick the best trail options. We modify each hike to suit the group, the weather or how late your group were in the pub last night.
This allows us to deliver the best possible experience to suit everyone.

Bray Head (Kerry)
Duration: Approximately 90 minutes
Difficulty: Easy
This is an amazing and really accessible hike on Valentia Island in Kerry.
The trail takes you along a gently inclining farm track to a 19th century signal tower, perched on top of dramatic sea cliffs at Bray Head.
On a clear day, you can look west to get the best possible view of the Skellig Islands, located 12km offshore.
Look back the way you came to the dramatic seascape and harbour at Portmagee and Ballinskelligs.
"The places we visited and stayed were truly amazing and beautiful! I especially loved seeing the sea arches and Bray Head. The scenery from up there was breathtaking!"

Glenveagh National Park (Donegal)
Duration: Approximately 40 minutes
Difficulty: Easy
This lakeside walking trail is located in one of Ireland's lesser-visited National Parks.
It leads you along the shores of Lough Veagh through a valley of trees and wild landscapes.
Watch out for eagles flying overhead and wild deer.
At the end of the hike, you'll reach the botanical oasis Glenveagh Castle and Gardens.
"I liked the combination of big attractions and lesser known sites ... Glenveagh National Park and the Museum of Country Life ended up being two highlights for me."
Hike this trail on our... 7 Day Vagabond Magnetic North Adventure Tour
Causeway Coast (Northern Ireland)
Duration: 3 Hours
This is one of the more challenging walks on tour and it is possible to to a shorter version. It has to be one of the most beautiful coastal walks in the world! The trail takes you from a crumbling castle ruin, along the rugged cliffs of volcanic rock and down the Shepards steps to the UNESCO heritage site The Giants Causeway. Youd be lucky to bump into another walker on the trail some days.
Ireland is a walkers dream and has yet to be tapped into so most of the time the trails are blissfully quiet. There is a great saying No such thing as bad weather, just the wrong type of clothing so be sure pack your walking shoes and rain jacket.
