Lahinch is always high up on my list and here's why.

Lahinch is a small seaside town perched along the Wild Atlantic Way in County Clare. The town is an ideal base in the west of Ireland, perfectly positioned for exploring the region’s surrounding sites and stunning landscapes such as the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren.

Whether it's a walk along the sandy beach or surfing the Atlantic Ocean waves, Lahinch has something for every type of traveller. Take a look at some of the top activities to do in Lahinch, especially during touring season from March to October when the town is in full swing.
Surfing At Lahinch Beach
Having been to Lahinch many times on a Vagabond adventure tour, I can confidently say that it is one of the best surfing spots in Ireland and for good reason.

The beach is ideal for beginners and experienced surfers alike. During the summer, the water warms up a bit (still wear your wetsuit!) and the evenings get brighter. I'd strongly recommend giving surfing a go while you're here!

Stroll Along Lahinch Promenade
If catching waves isn't your thing, Lahinch's promenade is perfect for a leisurely stroll. The promenade offers beautiful sunset views across Liscannor Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. 🍽️ Where To Eat In Lahinch?
After a fun day of exploring and adventures, it's now finally time to eat! Luckily Lahinch, although small is packed with incredible food options.
Barrtrá
Sat in the heart of Lahinch, Barrtrá is one of the top spots in the town. Relaxed, stylish and with dishes full of flavour, Barrtrá takes pride in themselves for sourcing the best local seafood and steaks with vegtables straight from the restaurant's garden.

Vaughan's On The Prom
Situated on the promenade, Vaughan's on the Prom proudly champion the best local produce so you can enjoy a true taste of Ireland. This award winning restaurant is all about sustainability with most of their food sourced within County Clare, cutting down on needless food miles. Kenny's Bar
This famous pub is a fourth generation family run business known for the White Horse Sessions, featuring live bands, song writers and stand up comedians. During the day, it's a great spot for a lunch and a drink.
