Is Ireland a safe place to travel, particularly for solo passengers?

Safe and Friendly

Our off the beaten track ethos means that you’ll be in smaller, rural communities while on tour. The pace of life is slower in the Irish countryside. You may notice people greeting you unexpectedly from passing cars; strangers will stop to chat or ask where you are from. This level of friendliness is normal and expected in small Irish villages and rural communities.

Exercising Caution

Wherever you travel to as a solo traveller, plan ahead, exercise common sense and sound personal safety practices. This is also true in Ireland. Excercising caution will minimize the chances of crime or unwanted attention.
