About This Tour

Come and see Ireland through Irish eyes! This immersive adventure and cultural tour allow you to really get to know southwestern Ireland and its people. It’s a region of Ireland that typifies the very best that the country has to offer in terms of scenery, history, living heritage and hospitality. So we wanted to spend even more time there.

Cliffs of Moher - Thank you Amber Strickland for the photo

The striking Cliffs of Moher

It's an area we previously covered in our 11 day and 7 day tours but we now explore in 7 days. These extra two days and nights make a massive difference and allow the tour to get under the skin of the communities and locations along the route.

You now have more time to enjoy the activities and experiences that are the essence of any Driftwood Journey of Discovery: the activity, great scenery, history and culture and local people – and also take it one step further and add in some fantastic new experiences and encounters, such as:

  • Spend two night in a vibrant small town - Kinsale
  • Meet local artisan food producers and craftsmen and see them at work
  • Visit a working sheep farm and watch the sheep dogs at work
  • Visit the infamous Cliffs of Moher

Kinsale, a stunning spot on the tour

Tours starting/finishing point:

The tours leave from Dublin city centre at 08.20am on the first morning and get back about 6 pm on the last day. So we would advise arriving at least the night before and if you would be planning to fly out on the last night, then not to book a flight before 9 pm.
All tours start and finish at the Grand Canal Hotel, Grand Canal Street Upper, Dublin 4
